This lamp has a hardwood cherry base, rim and handles. Premium cane has been used for this lamp and a standard light fixture installed. I have pictures of the lamp with the light on so that you know that it works and what is might look like. The lamp shade does not come with the lamp you are purchasing only the lamp. As with all my creations this has two coats of poly on the outside and one on the inside. The poly insures the baskets are durable.
