This Nantucket basket is woven around a glass canister with a tin screw on lid. The lid had a Cherry hardwood cover on it with an eco ivory plug on top. The base is also Cherry with an eco ivory plug in the bottom. The reed is premium reed. The height of this basket is 11 1/2”, the diameter is 5” and the circumference is slightly over 14 1/2”. The Cherry used in this canister is absolutely gorgeous with tones ranging from light to medium dark wood tones. I love incorporating functional items when making my baskets.
