The traditional Nantucket lightship basket! This 8” basket is created using cherry hardwood for the base andhandle. The rim on this basket is premium reed with brass nails implemented to secure the rim to the basket then lashed with premium cane and rim filler. The handle is secured with a brass screw and an acrylic knob. These are the original baskets design and made at sea by the whalers. Many of these original basket still exist to lending to the durability of this basket.
